Saturday after the facts

After when we  had  a successful day explaining the case law on college students voting on Thursday, I am disappointed in Republican NC House member from the 1st District, Bob Steinburg. On Friday he appeared at ECSU and said he felt that college students should be able to vote in the college community.

While everyone has a personal opinion, NC law says that students are presumed to be domiciled at their home when coming in to a college community.  That is rebuttable with the proper evidence from the student.

Again we must hold our legislators, elections board appointees, and staff accountable for knowing elections law and applying it fairly.
